Every year, River Bend Ranch hosts one of the most exciting wedding expos in the Durango area! Wedding vendors from all over the region have the opportunity to collaborate and put on this incredible event! Potential Brides and Grooms get to connect with some of the best vendors in the area WHILE watching them work. Several wedding “ceremonies” take place during this event, all in which the vendors including, hair and makeup artists, dress boutiques, officiants, photographers, florists, wedding planners, caterers, bakers, and SOO many more get to participate in these wedding ceremonies.
This year was my first year working at the Southwest Wedding Bazaar, and it was certainly a windy but beautiful endeavor! The fun thing about the SWWB is that although it is a “fake” wedding, it is also real for some of the couples!! Heather and Jonathan were able to renew their vows in front of a few of their friends and their kids as other vendors were able to show off their skills! How sweet is that?!
The wedding planners with our team were Miranda and Nicole for Jule and Joy Events! Miranda and Nicole designed a beautiful boho wedding ceremony. Not only are they so sweet and caring, but they were so good at making decisions on the fly when some unexpected problems arose! Highly recommend these sweet ladies to help coordinate your big day!
Secondly, Jaime Becktel with Southwest Ceremony officiated the ceremony! She added such a great element to the “wedding” and really helped the couple capture their vision.
Elizabeth Carr with Sweet on Durango created a BEAUTIFUL cake for the couple, and let me tell you, it tasted as good as it looked!!
To top it off, Heather and Jonathan were able to enter and exit their ceremony in a horse-drawn carriage.. What a day to remember!
It you are a potential bride in the Durango area, you MUST grab a ticket and attend the Southwest Wedding Bazaar at River Bend Ranch! It is such a fun experience, and it allows you to connect with SO many vendors. Highly, highly recommend.
