When your best friend asks you to fly to California to capture their elopement, you say yes a million times! Sara and Michael had the dreamiest ceremony right on the beach at Corona Del Mar in California.
Sara is one of my dearest friends from high school. Fun fact, we became best friends after she busted my chin open on the high school gym floor. The only stitches I have ever had came form this girl right here. All I can remember is sitting in the nurse’s office and Sara telling me, “You mom is going to hate me”. And here we are, many years later.. the bestest of friends.
When Sara first told me about Michael, I knew he was going to be perfect for her. He is exactly what this sweet and adventurous soul needed. He matches her crazy and they both have the biggest heart for others. Not to mention he fits right in with all of the ol’ San Luis Valley folk. 🙂
Sara and Michael met in ROTC at Cal State Fullerton. They are both commissioned as second lieutenants in the United States Army. This girl is an incredible ballerina and she also was ranked in the top 10% in the entire nation for ROTC. When they say “get a girl who can do both”.. Sara is it.
This was the sweetest day that started off with some Biscuits and Gravy and some mimosas. They were met with their closest friends and family for this dreamy ceremony on the beach, at Sunset.. Incredible.
If you know me, you know that I am obsessed with the ocean and all of its glory. If you ask me, it radiates the glory of the God who created all things. So. On top of these views, the sunset, and this beautiful couple, there were sailboats in the background… I mean, come on!
It was an honor to be a part of this day, not only because it was incredibly beautiful, but because I love this couple so dearly. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Alvarez.
