Christina and Robert’s special day was my first Purgatory Resort wedding! And let me tell you, they are something else! From the ski lift to the rain to the INCREDIBLE views, this day was unforgettable.
The always-wonderful Kawii was just finishing up with Christina’s make-up and veil placement when we arrived. I love being in the room while all the ladies are getting ready, because it never fails that they are always helping each other to look their best!
Speaking of looking their best, Robert was also working hard for his sons and groomsmen!
The day officially got started with a super sweet first-look between Christina and all her guys! It included her dad, her soon-to-be-husband, and their sons, Levi and Theo.
As they came inside, Levi said to his mom, “Mommy, you look so pretty!” Umm, okay. Just the sweetest little guy ever?!
It was so fun to experience a wedding at Purgatory Resort! It is such a unique experience to be up on the mountain for an event like this. 🙂
Riding the ski lift up to the ceremony site is a top highlight of the day! Getting to see all of the changing leaves and BEAUTIFUL mountain views while in your best wedding attire is hard to beat!
Sometimes I pinch myself that I get to live and work in a place like this!
Rain was drizzling on and off right before the ceremony. All of the guests just embraced it and got ready for a great time of celebration!
I loved that, even though they did a first-look, both Christina and Robert got emotional as she walked down the aisle and it all sank in.
Christina and Robert’s siblings are from all different states and they wanted to include them in the ceremony. They each read a quote about love or marriage and then added soil from their state to this family tree! I loved this way to incorporate the whole family!
When it was time for their first kiss, these two ditched the umbrella! It was a super epic moment (as you can also see how hard it was raining if you look close!)!
We were able to sneak in just a couple of family photos right after the ceremony. Then everyone was ready to head to cocktail hour to warm up!
Huge shout-out to The Perfect Day Company for making everything look and run beautifully all throughout the day. I always say it, but look at these tables! Major heart eyes.
One super fun idea from their cocktail hour was this “Find the Guest Bingo!” It made everyone get into the competitive spirit and had people mingling right off the bat!
The rain finally subsided and it was time to grab some bride and groom shots! Pretty much everywhere you look at a Purgatory Resort wedding, there is going to be some beautiful backdrop for photos!
After some family photos, Christina and Robert went right into their first dance!
Let’s have a moment for the delicious dessert table, supplied in part by Magnolia Bakery!
The food at Purgy’s Slopeside Restaurant, right at the base of the hill, was scrumptious! And we were all impressed by how quickly they got the food out to such a large group!
It is always fun to hear the stories that the bridal party and family have to share!
Almost every single person commented on how good of parents these two are. It was super special!
This wedding party crew was small, but mighty as they were there for all of the couples needs throughout the day! We always love the support system!
You can tell that Christina and Robert have special relationships with their parents. The father-daughter and mother-son dances were a joy to watch!
Let the party dancing begin!! All ages welcome and encouraged!
We love working with Stephen who takes care of all the DJ-ing needs throughout the day! He got everyone on the dance floor so fast! I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times, hire a DJ! They make ALL the difference for your day!
As I was taking my classic picture with Robert and Christina, Amber from Perfect Day Co ran up and said, “Me next, me next!” We love vendors who love the couple and Amber is 100% one of them!
Christina and Robert, I could not be more happy for your family! Thank you for letting me be a part of your rainy, perfect day! Congratulations!
