A beautiful mid-September day set the scene for Madison and Lane’s LePlatt’s Pond wedding! I took Madison and Lane’s engagement photos all the way back in February so I have been anxiously awaiting this day for a while now. 🙂
I loved the fall vibes of these flowers that Madison and her mom did themselves!
She got her gorgeous dress from Katerina’s Darling Bridal here in Durango! Also, peep the cute custom hanger!
We wanted to get some shots of all of the girls in their pjs! During this time, we learned that Madison’s robe was actually made from her mom’s wedding dress!
She told us her mom surprised her at her bridal shower with this super thoughtful and sentimental gift.
The whole morning, Madison was so excited to put her dress on! She told us that her and her mom were the only people who had actually seen the dress on her up until this point! Also, shout-out to her hair stylist, Taylor Lusk, who really completed the whole look!
Because no one else had seen the dress on yet, Madison wanted to do a little reveal for her bridesmaids and their reactions were so sweet!
We then headed down to the ceremony and reception space to do a first look with Madison’s dad and brothers. Her dad was up first!
I can’t lie, we may have been tearing up behind our cameras when her dad turned around. He said something along the lines of, “My expectations were so high, but you even exceeded those!”
It was a privilege to be able to witness these moments between them.
Then it was time for her brother’s, Logan and Landan, to see their sister as a bride for the first time. Earlier in the day, Madison told us, “I have the best brothers in the world!”
We could tell throughout the whole day that these sibs had a very close bond and this moment between them all was just evidence of it.
Afterwards, all of the bridesmaids came over to join us. I LOVE these bridesmaid dresses! They complimented the fall vibes so much!
It was special to see Madison’s individual relationships with each of her bridesmaids. You could see how much they all love and adore her!
Once the girls left, it was the boys turn for photos! You could immediately tell that these guys were all friends with each other and had some great memories between them!
Something that stood out to me as I talked with both Madison and Lane before the ceremony was how ready they both were to get married! Neither of them were nervous, just pure excitement!
We had a few moments before the ceremony began to snap some photos around the venue. Let me be the first to tell you, LePlatt’s Pond is SUCH a beautiful place!
Their amazing coordinator, Lacy, and her team have an incredible eye for design! Not to mention, they also made the day run super smoothly!
I’m excited to tell you about these doors that were at the end of the aisle! Madison’s dad and brothers built these doors for her to make her grand entrance through during the ceremony.
They timed the big moment perfectly with the song, “I Get to Love You” and then wah-lah! The doors opened! This made her entrance both sentimental and epic!
Remember how I said these two were just so excited to get married? Well, that was evident to everyone in one of the sweetest moments of the whole day. When Madison reached the end of the aisle and they were finally next to each other, they both embraced. It was as if they both said, “Finally!”
These two wrote their own vows and left not many a dry eye in the place.
Wohoo! They’re married!!
After the newlyweds signed their marriage license, they returned to the ceremony space to get a group shot of everyone in attendance! What a fun idea!
I love when a wedding party is down to try different poses and prompts. This group showed their willingness to have fun and be silly!
The sunlight coming off the pond created such a magical glow for these couple portraits!
This Leplatt’s Pond wedding kept rolling as everyone headed into the reception.
All of the bridal party took the term “grand entrance” very seriously! I love the commitment!
Vendor shout-out time! The amazing Manna Al Fresco came in clutch with dinner!
Bartender Severin Spinu kept everyone happy over at “The Watering Hole!” I saw him serving up a lot of the signature drinks for the night! How fun are these?
And finally, this both beautiful and delicious cake! It was provided by Sweet Revenge and Confections in Farmington, New Mexico!
In the midst of dinner, we stole the bride and groom away for just a few more moments as the sun was setting and I’m so glad we did!
At a LePlatt’s Pond wedding, you have to take pictures by the actual pond! And these ones turned out to be some of my favorite!
All day, Madison and Lane impressed me with how natural they are in front of the camera! It’s always so fun to photograph couples like that. 🙂
Then it was time to head back into the reception tent for some speeches from their family and friends!
These speeches brought both tears and laughter! They shared funny stories of and well wishes for Madison and Lane. A true testament to how loved they are!
During one of these speeches, the newlyweds branded a cow hide with their family brand!
Everybody was all-smiles for the special dances!
I loved how celebratory they all were!
Joe from Aiko Aiko Sound kept the tunes (and vibes) rolling as he then got everyone out on the dance floor!
How cute is this dessert table set-up? I loved the details of the table being a door and their hanging neon sign!
I was so excited when Madison told me what she planned on doing for her bouquet toss! She executed it perfectly! She first got up to pretend that she was going to toss the bouquet. Then she stepped over to the microphone and said, “Just kidding!”
Instead, she presented her bouquet to her mom as a surprise! Madison shared how her mom, Heather, had put so much time and energy into this day and how mothers of the brides rarely get recognition. So she wanted to give her mom a special moment too! I love this!
Madison couldn’t leave her single ladies hanging, though so they proceeded to do the bouquet toss with the maid of honor’s bouquet!
Speaking of mothers, how cute are these jackets that both of the moms and Madison were sporting throughout the night?
This perfect LePlatt’s Pond wedding ended with one of my favorites- a sparkler exit! I love how magical these look and it’s super fun for the guests to participate in too!
Mr. and Mrs. Jordan, I could not be more honored to have been part of your special day! Congratulations to you both and hope you’re having so much fun in Hawaii!!!
