Backyard Monte Vista Wedding-Faith and Nick

I had been super excited for this day to come since April when I took Faith and Nick’s engagement photos! We had so much fun that day that I just knew their backyard Monte Vista wedding would follow suit. 🙂

We started the day off at Faith’s house where the girls were getting ready.

After snapping some shots of the dress and everyone helping Faith into it, we headed outside! This is where we got some photos of all the girls together! Faith and Nick are so fortunate to have this beautiful view right in their backyard!

Faith told me that they were getting married on her parent’s property and I was super excited when I saw how beautiful it was!

It was sweet to see Nick and his groomsmen all getting ready together. They are such a fun and cooperative group of guys!

They had so many details all around the wedding space! I especially loved this one where their signature cocktails were named after their dogs!

During the ceremony, we had INCREDIBLE lighting! It was the perfect amount of overcast which created some dreamy shots.

I always love a good groom reaction and Nick’s did not disappoint. It was so sweet how genuinely taken aback he was by Faith’s beauty.

I learned throughout the day that this was the property Faith grew up on! Both her brother, Garett, and her sister, Ashley got married on this same property. Everyone talked about how special it was to get married here!

I love thinking about the endless memories they have at this special place! And they just keep adding to them!

The groomsmen and bridesmaids were all so tight-knit that it made photographing them both easy and fun!

Faith and Nick met when they both lived in Grand Junction and worked at the same restaurant.

They now live and work in Monte Vista, Colorado and they are both such gems!

Some special guests showed up at the reception- these decorated miniature donkeys! A super unique addition to the wedding day from Tiny As Is Donkey Experiences!

The bridal party’s entrance was so fun and full of energy! It got everyone ready to party!

I always have to give some shout-outs to the other vendors that made this day possible! The local Mexican restaurant, Dos Rios, kept us all fed and happy for the night!

And Cakes by Kindra made this cute cake and cupcakes!

Nick’s brother and Faith’s sister and dad took the stage when the time for toasts arrived. The emotions in the room rose especially as Faith’s family members spoke. They shared and reminisced about all their family had been through.

One sweet addition to this day was that during all of the special dances, they had put together slideshows to go along with them. They included photos of Faith and her dad as well as Nick and his mom from all the years growing up!

They also had a slideshow of just Faith and Nick. I loved this small, but meaningful touch!

Then, it was time to party! Faith’s friend, Blue, traveled all the way from Denver for this backyard Monte Vista wedding and he definitely kept the party atmosphere high!

Mr. and Mrs. Stokes! Thank you for letting me play such a special role in your big day! So many congratulations!
