You may remember from Jaci and Ryan’s engagement shoot that Jaci and I grew up together! It made photographing this Monte Vista wedding so fun as I got to catch up with old friends and capture Jaci and Ryan’s special day!
These two had a “backyard” wedding in the shop on the property they now live on! It created lasting memories and was also super convenient for everyone!
It was so sweet to see a ton of the engagement photos I took for them placed all around the reception space!
We need a moment for the sparkly cowgirl boots, because I mean, come on!
Jaci had gotten her bridesmaids matching robes and slippers. I had never seen matching slippers like this at a wedding before and I thought it was such a good idea! Comfy and cute!
As the girls continued to get ready, we went over to snap some shots of the guys! We quickly learned the Ryan is a big nickname guy as most of his groomsmen had a special nickname from him.
Jaci had each of her bridesmaids help her with a specific aspect of getting ready. One for her dress, one for her veil, and one each for her boots!
As they helped her, they also helped each other with their beautiful corsages!
When it was time for the ceremony, I could not get over the ring bearer and flower girls, Jaci’s nephew and twin nieces.
But of course, it was Jaci who stole the show as she walked down the aisle!
One of their family members officiated the ceremony at this Monte Vista wedding. I always love hearing the inside jokes and personal stories that arise during the ceremony!
These are some of my favorite pictures of Jaci from the whole wedding as I got to capture her giddy-ness right after the ceremony!
This group of bridesmaids were all so sweet and the most supportive of Jaci!
Jaci and Ryan knew each other in high school, but didn’t start dating at that point. A few years after high school, they reconnected and the rest is history!
They are both very laid-back which I so appreciate. Jaci told me they wanted everyone to feel welcome to come as they are! I love that about these two, so welcoming and easy to be around!
After eating some delicious food from Woody’s Q Shack, it was time for the first dances!
I absolutely LOVED the songs they picked! Jaci and her dad danced to “Good Hands”by Kylie Morgan.
Ryan and his mom danced to “Can She Have This Dance” by Drew Baldridge. I haven’t heard these songs very many times, if at all, at weddings and I just loved the lyrics of both of them.
They had a close family friend make the cake and when Jaci saw it she said, “I love it so much I could cry!”
Then it was time for everyone else to join the dancing!
We definitely picked up on the close-knit family vibes throughout the whole day. Everyone loves Jaci and Ryan and were so happy to be able to celebrate them!
Even the kids got in on the dancing!
I stole Jaci and Ryan for a few more magical moments as the sun was setting! Always a favorite of mine!
Okay, I know I’ve complained about the wind in the Valley before, but it was actually creating some pretty spectacular, glowy effects on these sunset photos!
And we, of course, had to get some photos with the infamous Mount Blanca in the background to end the day!
Jaci and Ryan, thank you so much for letting me be a part of this day! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Crowther!
