The Autumn colors and this sweet couple made these Purgatory engagement photos a blast to take! Emma and Matthew are getting married in Durango next August. After taking their engagement photos, I am so stoked for their big day!
I am a big fan of Fall for many reasons. Pumpkin spice lattes, cozy sweaters, pumpkin patches- just to name a few! But this photoshoot confirmed that fall photos are also on the top of the list for why this is my favorite season!
These glowy portraits in the beautiful meadow behind Purgatory Resort are some of my faves.
It was fun to get to know more about Emma and Matthew during this shoot. They are both from Albuquerque and are high school sweethearts! These type of stories always get me since Will and I are also high school sweethearts.
Matthew proposed to Emma on her 21st birthday with some of their closest family there. Emma said it was so special.
They decided to get married in Durango next summer, because of the venue options available here. I can’t blame them; Durango does have some of my favorite venues!
Both Emma and Matthew are currently in school. Emma is studying mechanical engineering while Matthew is getting his MBA.
As we moved to the second spot for these Purgatory engagement photos, outfit changes took place.
After Emma changed, she told me she was wearing her mom’s wedding dress! I thought this was such a sweet idea!
Not to mention, the colors and vibe of the dress complemented the mountainous autumn backdrop SO well.
Matthew and Emma were such troopers during this shoot as it was pretty cold. But you would never even be able to tell!
I’m obsessed with the love you can feel pouring from this couple in these photos. And I simple cannot wait to capture more of their love next summer!
