This Winter engagement session at Falls Creek was a super special one for me! Jaci and I were childhood friends, so I was extremely honored when they chose me to be their photographer!
I love when couples take advantage of my free engagement shoot when they book me for a wedding! Although I already knew Jaci, I had never met Ryan before. So it was helpful and fun to get to interact with Jaci and Ryan as a couple before the big day actually arrives.
These two were super sweet together, radiating joy as they were so giggly and playful with each other. It made me even more excited for their wedding!
Speaking of their wedding, Ryan and Jaci are tying the know in the San Luis Valley! (You may hear me affectionately refer to it as “The Valley” when you’re around me.) They chose June 6 for their wedding date, because they liked the idea of getting married on 6/6. Not to mention, it’ll be an easy date to remember!
Jaci works as a CNA and Ryan is a farmer in the Valley. One fun fact that I learned about Ryan: his family owns a fish hatchery!
If you look closely, you can also spy their sweet pups- Rocky and Billy! Although I think they were more interested in all the space to run around than in a photoshoot. 😉
It was so fun to reminisce with Jaci about our time growing up together. I was recently going through some old boxes and found a birthday card from Jaci from when we were in 5th grade. I was telling her about the card at this shoot and she said, “Oh yeah, May 19th, right?”
You guys! This girl immediately remembered my birthday and it impressed me so much. I have always described Jaci as being a very sweet and thoughtful friend, and this interaction just proved that even more.
I am super excited for June 6th in the Valley, but it was also really fun to have these two come to Durango for this Winter engagement session! Congratulations on your engagement, Ryan and Jaci!
