These Fort Lewis engagement photos are near and dear to my heart. When Joseph called me to tell me that he was proposing to Dee and wanted me to capture the moment, I was SO excited! I have known Dee for almost 4 years now and when Joseph and her started dating, pretty much everyone knew it was meant to be.
Dee and Joseph met at this exact spot a couple of years ago! Dee used to work at the Welcome Center, so it was super cute that Joseph wanted to propose here.
He had her read some sweet poems he wrote before he popped the question. If you couldn’t tell, she said, “Yes!”
Joseph had also strategically blocked out some time right after the proposal to go take engagement photos!
Dee just thought that they were going out for her birthday (which was a couple of days away). I’d say an engagement ring was a pretty great birthday gift.
Dee and Joseph are some of the most genuine people you’ll ever meet. Their love for the Lord, each other, and every person they meet is so evident.
Can’t you just see the love in their eyes for each other?!
Plus, they also are just super fun! They were joking and laughing with each other this entire shoot!
I simply just could not be happier for Dee and Joseph. I was honored to be able to take these Fort Lewis engagement photos as this couple means so much to me.
