When I say that this marriage is happening because of me.. I kind of mean it. Guess who introduced them to one another 3 years ago.. This girl right here!
It all began at a college ministry fall retreat at San Juan Bible Camp. Tyler and Abby were both new students to Fort Lewis College, and were quickly plugged in with our college ministry at the time. Abby and I kindled a friendship, and Tyler and Will began to connect as well. Fall retreat rolls around and there sits Tyler at the dinner table with his new friends. Abby and I began to join all of the rest of the students as we got settled for dinner, and I said “Tyler, have you met Abby?”.
Just like that, friendship ignited. Tyler, Abby, and a few other friends created a friend group at that fall retreat which led to lifelong friendships. College ministry is a beautiful thing for that very reason. Building a deep community with people that love the Lord is valuable beyond words.
After this fall retreat, I got to witness Tyler, Abby, and their friends grow in their relationships with the Lord and also grow in maturity and wisdom in so many ways!
Here we are, 3 years later, taking engagement photos up on Rim Drive where these met (Peep the pics in the chapel), grew, and got engaged!
It is such an honor knowing Tyler and Abby and witnessing such a beautiful friendship and relationship. Praise the Lord for that fall retreat 3 years ago. Cheers to forever, you two!
